Karen has been an associate of the firm and a member of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency practice since 2007 following her clerkship for The Honorable Brendan Linehan Shannon in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. Karen has assisted in representing publicly held companies in Chapter 11 and Chapter 15 restructurings and regularly represents various other creditor constituencies, including official committees of unsecured creditors, secured lenders and acquirers of distressed assets.
Karen has served as lead or Delaware counsel to a variety of parties-in-interest in bankruptcy cases pending in Delaware, New York and the U.S. Virgin Islands, including the following representative matters: Nanogen, Inc. and its affiliates in Nanogen, Inc.; CFM U.S. Corp. and CFM Majestic U.S. Holdings, Inc. in CFM U.S. Corporation; Hilco Merchant Resources, LLC in Goody’s Family Clothing, Inc., Goody’s LLC, Blue Tulip Corporation and Ritz Camera Centers, Inc.; Schultze Asset Management, LLC, Schultze Agency Services, LLC, Tweeter Newco, LLC, Tweeter Opco, LLC, Schultze Master Fund Ltd. and Arrow Distressed Securities Fund in Tweeter Opco, LLC and Tweeter Home Entertainment Group Inc.; Beachside Associates, LLC in Bayside Resort, Inc.; Greenlight Capital, Inc. in Emerging Communications Inc. and Innovative Communications Co.
