Joseph C. Handlon

Joe is an associate of the firm and has been a member of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency practice and the Personal Injury and Medical Negligence practice since joining the firm in 2000.  Prior to joining the firm, Joe served as a law clerk to The Honorable Rochelle S. Friedman of the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania.  Joe is admitted in Delaware, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. 

Representative Matters

Joe has served as lead or Delaware counsel to a variety of parties-in-interest in various bankruptcy cases and adversary proceedings pending in Delaware, including the following representative matters: The Debtor in Morphogen Pharmaceuticals, Inc., the Creditors Committee in IPM Service Corporation, The Shaw Group Inc. in Stone & Webster and IT Group, and various creditors and secured lenders in Fleming Companies, Inc.NationsRent, Inc., Montgomery Ward, Lernout & Hauspie, Trans World Airlines, Inc., and Trico Steel Company, LLC.

Joe has also assisted in matters representing plaintiffs in personal injury cases and medical liability actions, including an action styled Olson v. Motiva, which involved the prosecution of claims against numerous international companies arising out of an explosion at a power plant in Delaware City, Delaware.
